Meijer is currently inquiring further steps to defend both its workers and consumers during the continuous COVID-19 outbreak.

Weekly sales ads also will be discontinued beginning April 12, to reduce consumer count inside the store, the organization announced.

Additional measures by Meijer protection will include reusable bags prohibition (except being practiced for its Shop & Scan program), the temporary replacement of Sandy the Pony from the front end of its stores, the setting of decals on the floor six feet apart in sections where clients may meet, and recommending shoppers use the length of their shopping carts to gauge proper way from others.

  3. Meijer repositories and stores will provide dedicated shopping times for senior residents and clients with chronic health diseases on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8 a.m. local time.
  4. Meijer shops and drugstores will provide dedicated buying times for basic service workers and Meijer team members on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-8 a.m. local time.
