CVS Health Boosts Help for Pharmacy Hopefuls with Fresh Plans

Introduction

CVS Health® (NYSE: CVS), a big player in health care, just said it would give more learning aids to pharmacy students. It’s boosting the PharmD school money help and creating a new award, the Community Pharmacy Health Fairness Prize. The move aims to strengthen the medical world’s future.

CVS Health’s PharmD help program awards $20,000 each year to CVS Pharmacy interns earning their PharmD. The goal is to reduce pharmacy school costs, giving a key boost to new forces in community health care.

Supporting Mix and Equal Chances in Pharmacy

By working with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), CVS Health has established the new Community Pharmacy Health Fairness Prize, giving a $20,000 scholarship to 21 top pharmacy students. This move is for students low on cash and aims to attract more people to the pharmacy field.

Prem Shah, a big shot at CVS Health, notes the firm’s total commitment to growing future pharmacists. It’s all about focusing on cash for school and real work chances, aiming to keep up the close tie between pharmacists and those they look after.

Recent information from The Rx Report indicates that fewer people are attending pharmacy schools. To address this, CVS Health plans to turn the situation around and ensure there are always plenty of skilled pharmacists in the local health care teams.

School Money Help Details

From the summer of 2024, CVS Pharmacy interns close to finishing their PharmD studies can apply for this big-money aid. Later, in the fall, the program will also be open to interns in their next-to-last and last years of study.

The award, created by AACP and the CVS Health Foundation, seeks broader diversity in pharmacy teams by attracting people with different lives and ideas. This welcoming approach is set to improve pharmacy studies and patient care.

Students should look at AACP.org and CVS.Jobs/ExperienceRx for more information and to learn how to apply for the Community Health Fairness Prize and CVS Pharmacy Internship.
