Rite Aid Pharmacy Heroes Announced

Rite Aid announced about start of the company’s annual Pharmacy Champions program. This year the program was rebranding to Rite Aid “Pharmacy Heroes“, to show and acknowledge the heroism and good service, with is presented to customers of drug chain store, during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Rite Aid Corporation is a drug chain company, that serve to more than 1.6 million Americans daily.

“Our pharmacists are uniquely positioned to engage with customers and improve their health outcomes. We provide an array of whole being health products and services for the entire family through over 2,400 retail pharmacy locations across 18 states. Through Elixir, we provide pharmacy benefits and services to approximately 4 million members nationwide,” – said Rite Aid.

American Pharmacists Month

This completion will be going throughout October, and will be connected to the American Pharmacists Month.

The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) has always celebrated the accomplishments of pharmacists, the Association officially launched American Pharmacists Month in 2004. Since then, APhA has used October to recognize pharmacists’ contributions to health care and all they do for their communities.

“During the pandemic, pharmacists and pharmacy personnel have stepped up to make sure the public is cared for, even at the risk of exposure. Every pharmacist, student pharmacist, and pharmacy technician is making a big difference—and you have a story to tell. From immunizations to COVID-19 issues to patients’ acute and chronic needs, pharmacists are essential providers of accessible care,” – APhA said.

The Pharmacy Hero Contest is continuing to give customers an opportunity “to honor any pharmacist or pharmacy technician who has gone above and beyond to deliver exceptional health care service to them.”

The company suggest their clients to nominating a deserving pharmacy team member through the pharmacy’s online submission form, besides customer, that already give their voice have a chance to receive $1,000 in Rite Aid Gift Cards.

Rite Aid Pharmacy Heroes 11 Winners

A panel of judges will evaluate entries, that based on the effort, and impact, operational excellence of each pharmacy team member. Rite Aid’s consist at 11 Divisional areas, from each of these areas will be chosen 11 pharmacists and 11 pharmacy technicians as winners representing all areas.

“Each winning Rite Aid Pharmacy Hero will receive $1,000 in Rite Aid gift cards and a $1,000 donation in their name to a KidCents charity of their choice. KidCents, a charitable giving program of The Rite Aid Foundation, supports 480 local nonprofits addressing health and wellness challenges facing children in the neighborhoods that Rite Aid serve, ” – company stated.

After the 22 customers, who recognized the winning Rite Aid pharmacy team members, will be announced they also win $1,000 in the gift cards.
