Rite Aid COVID-19 Self-Testing Sites

Rite Aid persists in developing COVID-19 testing sites with eleven different places opening Wednesday, April 22, in Delaware, Idaho, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia through its cooperation with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

All-Rite Aid drive-up COVID-19 testing areas will use self-swab nasal examinations overseen by Rite Aid pharmacologists. Testing qualification is based on guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which can be seen here.

The trial will take place in each store’s parking lot. As part of the trial process, people should continue in their vehicles from the time they come and until they leave.

Testing will be accessible at no cost to qualified people who meet the criteria set by the CDC. Patients are asked to show a government-issued permit, be at least 18 years old, and need to pre-register online at www.riteaid.com to register a time slot for testing.

Rite Aid has partnered with Verily and will use its Baseline COVID-19 Program to implement screening, scheduling, and results of proceeds to shareholders for Rite-Aid testing sites.

Rite Aid also decided BioReference Laboratories to give COVID-19 laboratory experiments to all drive-up areas to flatten the curve through available characteristic testing.
