Walgreens and Walmart recently announced about new programs and collaborations against the background of COVID-19.
Walgreens Same Day Delivery in under two hours builds on the company’s suite of convenient shopping solutions for customers. Aside from Walgreens and Walmart new programs, Walmart Health, also announced about acquire MeMD. This collaboration can bring customers new types of services, that connected with telehealth. “MeMD was founded in 2010 by Dr. John Shufeldt to provide virtual care nationwide, leveraging the latest online technologies to deliver high-quality care 24/7/365 in a convenient and accessible manner. Today, MeMD delivers medical and mental health visits to millions of members nationwide,” – Walmart said.
Walgreens and Walmart: Best Same Day Delivery Option?
On May Walgreens began to offer customers safe and easy shopping solutions through the launch of Same Day Delivery in under two hours for retail products. Customers nationwide are now able to order more than 24,000 items directly from Walgreens for Same Day Delivery.
In these new offering clients can take advantage of this new way to shop quickly and conveniently when shopping online at Walgreens or using the Walgreens app, with no minimum order required. Upon checkout, shoppers can select Same Day Delivery and receive items for contactless delivery to their door in under two hours.

MeMD and Walmart Health
Walmart Healt, also announced they have entered into an agreement to acquire MeMD. This acquisition will, over the coming months, allow Walmart Health to provide access to virtual care across the nation including urgent, behavioral and primary care, complementing in-person Walmart Health centers.
