The screening will take place in the parking area of the store. Furthermore, people must pre-register online and stay in their vehicles from the time they arrive until they leave the site.

In a joint venture with the U.S. Branch of Health and Human Services (HHS), the company expects to have extra drive-up COVID-19 testing tools in the coming weeks at Rite Aid stores across Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, Connecticut, and Virginia. In an earlier press release, Rite Aid stated that it has been piloting COVID-19 measurement at one location in Philadelphia, serving in containing the spread.

Besides, the organization has presently informed that to ensure efficient delivery of medicines, and it is providing home delivery service to customers with a single direction and for a zero delivery price.

Nevertheless, it explained that goods such as refrigerated medications and regulated substances would not be suitable for delivery. Apart from this, the company has been trying pick-up services for medicines and over-the-counter stocks, and clients can use the drive-through option available at more than 50% of its direct locations.

This drugstore chain has kept its markets open, with extended staff to satisfy delivery orders ready. It has also required limits on in-store and online purchases of certain items so that the goods can reach the most significant number of people in need.

On April 8, Rite Aid undertook to hire to overcome the situation driven by the coronavirus, accroding to the COVID-19 report. The company stated its intentions to engage 5,000 full-time and part-time associates across the United States to serve clients efficiently.

The move will offer further help to provide medications, necessary types of equipment, and coronavirus-related data through stores and distribution centers. Other retailers like Dollar Tree, Inc. DLTR, Dollar General Corporation DG, and Walmart Inc. WMT is hiring partners to efficiently cater to customers’ burgeoning demand for inherent goods as well as delivery requirements amid the coronavirus change.
