TriHealth Will Operate Retail Health Clinics in Cincinnati Area Walgreens Stores

Walgreens and TriHealth, a comprehensive not-for-profit health system with six hospitals and 130 sites of care, stated that Walgreens would be transitioning seven of its existing company-led Cincinnati-area Walgreens Healthcare Clinics to TriHealth.

Slated to start in the first quarter of 2020, TriHealth will own & operate and implement clinical duties at these ‘TriHealth at Walgreens” clinics inside Walgreens stores. TriHealth at Walgreens will offer sufferers in the Cincinnati area with access to timely and affordable health care for managing common diseases and injuries, as well as services for chronic care follow-ups, with no installation required. The clinics will be staffed by TriHealth’s therapist practitioners and will run daily, including evenings and weekends.

“Today’s decision shows our ongoing dedication to collaborating with neighborhood health practices, like TriHealth, to offer timely access to affordable healthcare settings while helping to secure a true continuum of care for our sufferers,” said Dr. Chet Robson, Walgreens acting chief pharmaceutical officer. “We look forward to serving with TriHealth as it shares our dedication to producing exceptional and personalized patient care.”

TriHealth at Walgreens clinics will be found at the following Cincinnati-area Walgreens stores:

“This arrangement with Walgreens is yet another example of TriHealth’s plan to meet the evolving demands of healthcare customers and get healthcare right for our society by delivering care when, where and how users are attempting care,” stated Mark C. Clement, President, and CEO of TriHealth.

“In collaboration with the most extensive network of primary care providers in the area, our advantage care centers, and our 130 sites of care, these retail dispensaries enhance our ability to provide the right care at the right place. And since these hospitals are linked to a trusted health system, patients can be assured access to the appropriate level of care for their condition.”

When the late TriHealth at Walgreens clinics open, TriHealth will be one of the newest additions to the Walgreens Find Care™ platform, which helps connect Walgreens mobile and online consumers and sufferers to health care contributions and a growing selection of recognized health care providers. All Walgreens Find Care gifts are accessible through the Find Care section of the Walgreens mobile app and online at www.walgreens.com/findcare.
